Pregnancy and Childbirth are challenging for your body and as a result Pre Natal exercises can prepare your body for birthing much like you would prepare for a marathon!
Back pain is common during pregnancy and at Active Physio we use gentle manual therapy, exercises and back and Sacro Iliac Joint supports to keep you fully functioning
Once your baby has been born our Active Physio post natal exercises is able to restore your body’s muscle control and tone.
Exercises are either delivered as a Class or on a One on One sessional basis. Child care facilities are available at some branches. Please ring the branch for more information.
As our body’s ages the effects of past childbirth can become more obvious and effect women’s ability and enjoyment in participating in an active life. At Active Physio we can assess and manage more advanced pelvic floor issues with specific exercises and advice. A excellent outcome is possible with retraining and the need for surgery is frequently not required.
Menopause can be a difficult time for some women and we can offer Acupuncture as an alternative or adjunct to hormone replacement therapy. We can also teach Stress Management strategies to enable you to cope with the effects of menopause on how you are feeling.
