Gill Webb

Gillian Webb

MNZCP, Franchise Director, Practice Owner

Gill has completed post graduate studies in acupuncture and manual therapy. During this time she developed a special interest in the management of overuse injuries in the musician. More recent training has included further post graduate study in acupuncture and Pilates. Her special interest now includes pain management, management of arthritis, neck and back rehabilitation. Her approach is based on manual therapy, acupuncture and Pilates rehabilitation individually and in group classes.

Jeff McDonald

Dip Respiratory Therapy, BHsc(MedRehabilation), Cert Acupuncture

Jeff’s physio interests include acupuncture, sports Injury management, chronic pain management, manual therapy and massage and pilates

Jeff enjoys travelling, camping, hiking and relaxing on the beach. He loves the Auckland summer and the outdoors.

Sandra Scown

Dip Phty

Sandra’s current role is involved with more complex exercise rehabilitation services at our gym / Pilates studio and at off site pool / gyms in the area.

Sandra teaches Pilates to individuals and in group classes, she has an interest in breathing & relaxation education and in pain management.

Sandra is a certified Steel Pilates provider delivering this specialised education and exercise programme to men recovering from cancer.

Sandra has an interest  in the management of inflammatory arthritis and she has received training from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Rotorua.

Kate Brocklehurst

BHsc(Physio)

Kate graduated from AUT in 2009 with the most outstanding clinical practice award for gaining 100% in her final clinical exam. Kate had been a student with Active Physio and we were pleased to have her back and give Kate her first job.

Kate’s areas of interest are sports physiotherapy, particularly working with gymnastics, manual therapy and Pilates.

Kath's special physiotherapy interests include acupuncture, sports and orthopaedic medicine and muscle balance assessment and management.

Fiona Hing

Fiona Hing

BHSc(Physio) PGD (Manipulative Therapy). Polestar Certified Pilates Instructor

Fiona as a strong interest in neuro muscular rehabilitation and motor control, she was introduced to Pilates in 2001, and found that Pilates complemented and enhanced her physiotherapy practice.

Originally a neurology based therapist, Fiona gained a Post Graduate Diploma of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the Auckland University of Technology in 2001 and in the same year, she completed her Polestar Certification in Rehabilitation Pilates.

The Dominion Rd branch is a spacious clinic located in the south end of Balmoral in the Kensington Mall. There is great parking out the back off Kensington St. Entry is at the rear of the Mall and straight into the 3 suites that Make up Active Physio Dominion Rd. There is the clinic consultation rooms; then through to the Pilates Studio Cardio Room and then into the Exercise Class room where a range of classes are held. We also retail tapes, bandages and braces amongst many other products.
